Delivery Basics

Tanning beds are delivered by commercial freight carrier, so the delivery address must be tractor-trailer accessible (able to accommodate tractor-trailers up to 53').

The freight company is not required to take the tanning bed(s) off the truck nor to move the tanning bed(s) to your desired location.

The freight company will contact you before they deliver your tanning bed. Please plan ahead to arrange means of getting the tanning bed off the truck and to your desired location. We recommend having 2-4 people present when you accept delivery of your tanning bed to get the tanning bed off the truck and to move the tanning bed to your desired location.

Some freight carriers have hydraulic lift gate trucks, which can be used unload your tanning bed. The service, if available with the freight carrier delivering your tanning bed, is an additional fee and you will be responsible for paying the freight carrier if you choose to request this service from them.

Please be aware that even with this service, you will still need 2 to 4 people to move the tanning bed from the curb to your desired location.

You are responsible for unpacking and inspecting your tanning bed at the time of delivery, before the driver leaves and before you sign for the delivery. If there are any items damaged or missing from your tanning bed shipment, you need to note those on the delivery receipt before you sign it and then contact Absolute Tan to report the missing or damaged items, so replacements can be sent.

If the delivery receipt is signed with no exceptions (no damage and nothing missing) because the tanning bed was not unpacked and inspected before accepting the delivery, if you want the missing items or replacements, then you will bear the cost of the missing or replacement items plus shipping.

It is very important that you follow the delivery procedure described above. If you determine that all or a portion of the merchandise has been damaged, you must refuse to accept the shipment or note the exact damages on the freight bill and replacement parts will be sent.

Absolute Tan offers concealed damage (hidden damage that could only have occurred during shipping and which was not visible during delivery inspection) shipping insurance at a nominal cost on tanning beds. Shipping insurance is mandatory on all tanning lamp purchases.

Shipping insurance covers the replacement of damaged parts only, not the entire item. If you choose not to purchase shipping insurance at the time of purchase, you will be responsible for the part and shipping costs of all replacement items.

Shipping insurance cannot be purchased after the item has been delivered.
